Job description

I go to class to further my knowledge and expand upon my writing skills. I am also an intern/student at the university's literary magazine "New Letters". I read the applications and choose the best one so far.

How did this program prepare you for your job?

I sent in an application filled with many poems that I was writing during my two-year stay at the school, and I used many of the experiences and knowledge I gained from Humboldt to make it the very best application. Plus many of the professors sent recommendations that helped me get into UMKC.

What did you enjoy most about the program?

I enjoyed learning about the many literary theories, the styles of writing, and improving my writing capabilities.

What would you say to prospective students who are thinking about applying to this program?

It is a great place with a great group of teachers that will help you become the person you want to be.
