Visiting Writers Series
The English department's Visiting Writers Series brings authors from around the world to Humboldt County. Each visiting writer hosts a lecture, reading, and/or workshop, providing students and community members with the opportunity to engage with literary artists who represent a diverse range of aesthetic approaches. The Visiting Writers Series exists to broaden students’ understanding of literature as a form of cultural production. The series invites students across the disciplines to engage in conversations about a range of culturally relevant topics.
